When singer Adele was cut off during her acceptance speech for Album of the Year at the Brit Awards on Tuesday, she flipped off “the suits” in frustration.

Fuck yeah, Adele.

Let me say that I love Adele for doing this, but it’s quite clear to me that it only really matters when a person of color flips off America. For Adele, it’s a quirky, rebellious response to being cut off. But for Maya, it’s an example of her inability to behave properly. No shade on Adele (rock that bird, baby), but man, fuck that racist bullshit.
