On his eleventh birthday Peter Fonda accidentally shot himself in the stomach. Later he recounted this to John Lennon during an LSD trip, claiming he, “knew what it felt like to be dead.” The Beatles then used that as an indirect influence on their song, “She Said, She Said.”
